Made it to Dayton

Road Trip 2012 has begun! We are on our way to St. Louis!

We stayed last night at Cari’s Lake House in the Poconos, and headed out this morning (with an aggressive agenda) to make it to Dayton, OH. We made it! We are comfortably settled in the Drury Inn (which isn’t so dreary as we feared). Rocket is happy to be off a leash and not in the car! 

We had a great dinner at “Schmidt’s Sausage Haus”, in an adorable neighborhood of Columbus called “German Village.” Went for a walk after dinner through the cobblestone streets and peered in the windows of the immaculately kept little houses. It reminded us a bit of Marblehead with its little walkways between the houses. 

More adventures at the Indianapolis Zoo tomorrow.
